Welcome to the website of The Riogaioch Affenpinschers owned by Suzanne Pirrie.

I have been showing dogs since 1991, starting with a black and tan CKCS, Moonstone Moonlighting (Cocoa).  We had a lot of fun and learnt a great deal about showings dogs at Open Shows, winning many 1st and Best Of Breed. A couple of years later Moonstone Jamaica Sunset (Jaffa) a Ruby CKCS joined us.

In 1997 we decided to look for another Toy Breed to show, we chose The Affenpinscher (German Monkey Dog) and bought our first from Toni Teasdale (Tonsarne), Tonsarne Brandubh with Riogaioch (Sparky).  This scruffy little dog was such a delight we bought his half brother Kilbarchan's Titlemouse for Riogaioch from Helen Moffatt (Kilbarchan's).

In 1999 we were able to buy a 7 month old female puppy from Wendy Boorer (Furstin) Furstin Foreign Fancy for Riogaioch (Charlotte) Charlotte won Riogaioch its first RCC.  In the summer of 1999 Jess Gruninger (Darkle) offered us the lovely Darkle Debutante for Riogaioch (Topsy), Topsy was a proven brood and in Dec 1999 she produced the first litter for Riogaioch, the puppy we kept became our first Champion, Ch Riogaioch Festival (Grace)

In 2006 Dr Mhairi Brown (Orlock) asked if I would like to have a litter from Orlock Oltania with Riogaioch (Fru) as a joint venture, from this litter we had the lovely Ch. Mimosa of Riogaioch JW (Mimi).  We also jointly own Orlock Christabell with Riogaioch (Christabell) and Riogaioch Voo Doo at Orlock (Mira), so in 2008 we decided to take out a separate interest in the Brandubh affix (held by Lauren Pirrie).
